episode iii: not bad, actually. some of the anakin/padme dialog was clunky but it was kept brief. last 20 minutes was definitely the best 20 minutes of the film.

I disagree with you "Not actually bad" sentiment, as a single film this would have been an expensive and mediocre pass-to-flop. Yes it was better than episodes 1 and 2, no that does not make it worth £6.

There were so many things which were just plain wrong, like the parts of the script where you could imagine George sitting there with a pile of letters from hardcore fans, crossing out perfectly good dialog and replacing it poor excuses for plot from the SWEU to make up for discrepancies between the two trilogies or the lack of dramatic emphasis in all of the key plot moments in the film, or the cast, (bar Ewan Mcgreggor).

grr bile, sorry.

On the up side sin city comes out in 2 weeks.

well, ok, maybe seeing a film and being pleased that it doesn't make me cringe as much as i was expecting it to, is not an indication of a good film. but i don't regret having watched it.

Agree, apart from the "Noooooooo!!!" scene which had me putting a hand over my face. Though I did like, however pointless though I'm starting to wonder, beginning. If only for the space ships, but I've always got a soft spot for them.

Oh & Sin City is good, proven to me by recent trip to LA, no illegality involved.
