beating the bounds

this week i shall be attempting to circumnavigate the london borough of hackney. got most of the border between islington and hackney yesterday: gave up when i got to the bit where the border appears to be the regent's canal as i cannot swim, and it was getting late. going to try for the remaining bit of that and the hackney/tower hamlets border this evening, i think.

Much of the Southern border is Hackney Road rather than the canal, and when you are in that neighbourhood again, contact me because I live just South of the Canal and very definitely in Hackney.

The route I folloed was, from Finsbury Park: south down Blackstock Road, east onto Mountgrove Road, then Riversdale Road, south down Green Lanes, south down Petherton Road, then east along Leconfield Road, joining up with Green Lanes again, east past Newington Green onto Matthias Road and then Boelyn Road, down Kingsland Green onto Balls Pond Road, at which point I headed west until the junction with Southgate Road, then south til the canal.

I deduced from signs that Baring Street, on the north of the canal, is fully within Islington, and the south side is within Hackney.

Trying to do this without reference to existing maps for copyright reasons (it's all going into openstreetmap).
