Life on Mars was particularly woot tonight, I was wondering when they were going to get around to that (the B-plot).

I appear to be going to the batfink after next.

Watching them build the Performing Arts Centre (which is happening at the end of Southampton Street) is interesting. Every day I walk past and they've done a little bit more.

Stuff.

Bloody fantastic series. Love it, just love it.

I hope there'll be a second series. Maybe he can come out of the coma and then get hit by another car?

Isn't it terrible, you sort of want him to come out of the Coma, but at the same time - as soon as that happens it's kind of the end. But if he never comes out of the coma it's just a (really good) 70's cop-series with nightmares :-/

I'm personally hoping he'll spend the next 5 years in a persistent vegetative state

Maybe he can come out of his coma but still be in the 70s - he is after all into multi-tasking ;)

And what if he really was from Hyde and was just imagining the 2000s?

ooooOOOoooooo I never thought of that - a man ahead of his time.... A very good question what put to John Simm in an interview, which is how come he got to keep the naughties hairstyle...

The last 15 minutes or so was the best. Especially the fridge. :)

So, do you think he's really in a coma? It seems a bit obvious.

Batfinktastic!
It;s every fortnight (I think) now, so you're coming in a fortnight? - Cos if it's the one at the beginning of March I'm not there, and will then firmly believe you're just a figment of my imagination...

I only see dates for Feb 3rd and March 3rd. Should be staying with [livejournal.com profile] warofdreams, who is sadly busy this weekend.

*nod* So. Bloody. Good.

I've not properly followed a TV series for donkeys' years. It's fun.

Me neither. (Except for Doctor Who of course.)

It's good to see a British drama series rising to that sort of level for a change as opposed to just being a soap opera set in an unusual location.

One thing that worries me about this series and this last episode in particular though is that it just added to the unease I've been getting from another one of my TV addiction, Nip / Tuck. Too much of a correlation between non-straightness and evilness.

It is the best bloody thing to come out of the Beeb for a long, long, long time. It's so bloody amazing. It's the sort of show you wish they put on when you were a bit younger and you reminisce about. Bloody amazing :)

The second plot - with him visiting his mum. I thought that was going to happen the moment he said "I was four in 1973".

Oh I see - I dunno, I think if I was suddenly back in 1973 I'd want to think carefully before I visited my family and 2-year-old me. Like his family, there were complications, and have been some since. And men in particular are wary of emotional confrontation.

Oh yes, he was bloody stupid to do it - especially with not a very good pretence (um, yes, there have been some burglaries, and then not actually ask about them). But like Robocop visiting Mrs Murphy, it was inevitable.

I'm also loving this series, best thing on tv at the moment and definitely the best thing from the BBC aside from Dr Who for a loooong time. He is in a coma isn't he?
