"It's snowing in Leicester today."

Ah. I should have recognised the mutated Caerlyr.

Strangely, I could remember straight away that you lived in CaerlÅ·r, but it took me a few minutes to remember which English city name that actually mapped to. (I think it's because we spent a while talking about the page about it on cy:.)

As a London resident, I can confirm that it hasn't snowed recently. At least, I haven't seen any here in Neasden.

Drat us Southerners! We never get any fun!

We got to hear three hours of corporate charity law as read out by jguk in his low droning English Crashing Bore voice. Really, he has the voice for it. But the beer was fantastic.

I saw heaps of shovelled snow in Trafalgar Square at 2:00 AM on Wednesday morning. From the air and from a taxi.

BTW, Diva's right about the guy with The Voice: I expected him to launch into a recital of 'My Favourite Bathtime Gurgles' and die by gastrointestinal self-strangulation.

Oh! In that case, I retract my 'nope, no snow' statement. Still, I was probably asleep then.

Would still be good to get some snow when I'm actually awake to see it, then.

Snow in Leicester, snow in Dublin, no sodding snow in Oxford... whyyyy?

Enjoy :)

Ah, yes. But the snow in Dublin was only just enough to make it bitterly cold enough in the morning to truly appreciate why Man invented Central Heating, and why Thermal Gloves are in fact Big and Clever. But it lasted just for the morning. Then it was just cold.

Ah, fairly typical Dublin snow then. The sort of snow that turns you into a cynic when you're still a kid, shaking your head and going "...but it won't last."

Yeah. That did bad things to my perception of snow... I underestimated the sticking power of Guildford snow, so when there was a Drag&Fetish night on in the SU, I ended up trudging out in the snow in next to NOTHING (Really! I think it was a collar, some underwear, tights and another pair of tights made into a top, oh and a pair of doc martins). Yeah, I regretted that.

It stuck... And I realised exactly how big that Escher-like little campus was as a walked across it.

Further to this... it's amazing what strings of comments you can get from just discussing the weather *grin*

Yeah, this is my most popular post for months, and it was just two words. Makes you wonder if it's worth bothering coming up with meaningfull stuff to say. :)

I think it's the posting for the masses kinda thing.

I mean, if you come up with something meaningful and the like people will read it, but be too afraid to post for fear of feeling stupid. Of course, if it's something like the weather... well that's not erudite (generally speaking), so we can all talk. :) Or at least that's what I tell myself for my entries :)

You next trick is to see if how many replies you get from "Orange Blossom" as a post.

Luckily I bought some gloves on Thursday. (and unluckily, forgot to take them to work Monday. Oh well, can't have everything)
