Argh! That's exactly what happened to me on Saturday.
Specsavers will try to fleece you. I had to pay £5 for the privilage of them fitting another leg that doesn't match! I think she quoted me £15 for a "proper" repair.

sometimes the little local shops work out cheaper?
- after going to specsavers for years i decided to go to the one just up from me on welford road, out of laziness, and not only did they not charge me at all to put in a screw (I'd lost one) they charged me £20 for a really thorough eye test and said that although my astigmatism had moved round my vision was still legal so not to bother with new glasses.
