gave the unholy bingo/pub-quiz a miss last night, and instead watched The Talons of Weng-Chiang last night, with [livejournal.com profile] vjbseven and [livejournal.com profile] lost_species. quite enjoyable.

also. i seem to have finished (the regular run of) sandman. wow.

CSL tonight. not sure if worth going or not.

doctor who quite good. wasn't a fan of the whole concept of the episode but they pulled it off reasonably well. they glossed over the whole "bad wolf" following them thing, sadly.

came home last night not a minute too early - had to have a nap in the afternoon to sort myself out.

getting ready now to go to psychocandy/nowhere. hoping i will spend more time upstairs this time.

BEST. EPISODE. EVER.

although there was no way Jackie was 18 years younger than she was in the 2005/2006 episodes.

hmm. not my favourite episode so far, thought the way they dealt with the aliens far too cheesy. some good moments though, especially the ending with mickey and the doctor. very much a "bottle show".

next week's looks very ooh.

damn them!

i especially liked the andrew marr appearance. no mention of the war this time, but a third appearance of "Bad Wolf". hmm! anyone thinking they are doing a little miss muffet?

although the cliffhanger's impact is severely impacted by the trailer for the next episode immediately after it. wish they would stop doing that, it ruins shows.

Today's Doctor Who: ace!

They are obviously making a big thing of this backstory : got another reference to the war, this time a large "Time War". I trust this all will be revealed towards end of series.

Trailer for next week's episode (actual space aliens invading London with spaceships and stuff) also looks good.
