Tomorrow there is a plan to see the 14.15 showing of The Descent at the Odeon. Anyone want to come? You should, for it is a british horror film with excellent reviews.

Pride is Saturday. As promised I have managed to will the weather forecast into being not rainy. We shall see if the weather follows this. Since it is my 26th birthday on Sunday I am planning on going to Retribution after Pride and dancing and getting very drunk. All are invited.

if "anteater" had been accepted as an egg-bearing mammal, (the full common name is "spiny anteaters", the only accepted answer was "echidnas"), and "Indian" had been accepted for the originators of zero instead of "Arabic", our team (me, drjane, vjbseven, lost_species and digivamp) would have won. tch.

but took away two prizes for the team anyway, so blah.

it is Leicester Pride on Saturday. I thoroughly encourage all and sundry to attend, whether or not you be lesbian, gay, bisexual, or straight or other, and whether you are particularly proud of that or not. Is basically excuse for party in Victoria Park, which surely must be encouraged for whatever reason.

quite a good night out. introduced lots of people to each other which is good. danced lots which is good. didn't get too drunk which is good. got someone sent over to ask me on somebody else's behalf if i was single, which is also good. went home just after 0130, due to tiredness and hotness.

everybody is apparently coming to see Batman Begins at the Odeon on Sunday, meeting 1345 for the 1400 showing. it should be good!

Apparently I am going to see Downfall this evening, with drjane, grim_tim, vjbseven, and qfyd. Should be interesting.

Really zarked off at work. I'm moving departments week after next now, so I am being given a succession of stupid little things to work on. Sucky. My physical isolation from the team now is a good representation of my actual isolation from. Grr.

Got a ticket to the Summer Sundae. Somehow I'd managed to totally miss that until mellowdoubt posted it.

Must go to some of the Pride pre-events this year. Some of the films from the London Lesbian and Gay Film Festival tour look quite interesting.

Spear of Destiny are playing the Charlotte on Wednesday. I know nothing about them other than that they are possibly named after a historical artefact, depending, as with so much else, on your definitions.

this (rather insane) week of work, coupled with gigs monday and wednesday, should have absolutely exhausted me. instead, i am only moderately exhausted. yay.

pondered going to see Death From Above 1979 at the Charlotte tonight, but too tired. instead i shall stay in and watch lgbt movies and Yes, Minister.

visiting secretlondon next weekend. nothing booked in June yet (apart from Suzanne Vega on the 22nd in Coventry!).

my birthday is the 26th next month, a Sunday. I shall be 26 (I wonder if this has some numerological or astrological significance, being the age of your birth date...), which is officially my late 20s. Not quite sure how that happened. Once it comes I'm sure I'll redefine mid 20s again, though, so that's all fine. And at least I can place a tick against my "things I must do before I am 26" list.

Black Rebel Motorcycle Club are playing Nottingham Rescue Rooms on Saturday 11th June, couple of months ahead of the release on their 3rd album. Anyone fancy going to see them?

Not quite sure how but woke up at 7.30am this morning. Thus tired.
