you couldn't make it up
Jul. 23rd, 2007 06:06 pmA coven of witches was today claiming victory after developers changed the name of a £350 million shopping centre after a year-long dispute.
"Highcross Quarter" was a pretty feeble name anyway, although mildly better than "The Shires". Although the neopagan website is claiming primacy, it is interesting to note that it registered its domain name on July 14, 2006. This is also the day that the new name of the shopping centre was published in the local paper, the Leicester Mercury. This seems rather a coincedence.
