Had a brief tour of the house. Unfortunately builders are currently replastering the bathroom (and the room I would have is full of stuff from there). What I saw of the rest of the house was lovely though. It is dead quiet around there too.
Have arranged to see it again next week after the builders have done, and all going well should sort out furniture/decoration and then I can move in.

American "party" structures confuse me (I find primary elections especially odd), but I understand the DNC is the closest thing to an actual party organisation... Very good that they aren't just saying "ooh, we aren't right-wing enough", unlike some supposedly left-wing political parties that lost a number of elections in a row that I can think of!
