a compromise between the lords and the commons on the prevention of terrorism act has been reached. this version is pretty bad, but the version the government originally asked for would effectively have made britain a police state.

I've been watching most of the debate since yesterday and although many past Home Secretaries (both houses) have spoken well I'm not aware that Blunkett spoke at all!

I'm not at all happy with the deal that was reached, but it did seem that it was the only way for things to end.

I agree. Like, what did he do anyway? Had an affair (not really a public concern) & pushed though an application (right, like no other politician ever does that for their buddies)
