rofl! So Sheffield's 5 seconds faster than Rotherham, 18 seconds ahead of Barnsley and 22 seconds ahead of Doncaster?

How bizarre!

they were all (supposed) to be set to standard uk time. but they become desynched because that's what cheap clocks do.

i did actually work this out the difference in local solar mean times, being the sad act that i am, and Doncaster is just over a minute ahead of Sheffield, Rotherham is about +20 seconds ahead, and Barnsley about the same.

So what's the speed-of-light delay?

And I thought that nearby oscillating systems always synchronised.

Centisecond, if that, I should think. Too tired to be bothered to work it out.

Telsa points out there's something particularly odd with the hour hand on the Rotherham clock. (camera angle?)
