my coat has a bizarre glue-like substance all on it which doesn't wash off and will need scraping off in the morning. grr.

is it like white paint???? Aparantly someone didn't clear up properly after doing the most recent referb!!!

my coat is still in the hands of the ret staff as it got dipped in paint and now has a 6"sq blob on the hem. Hey it's only my favorite coat atm, and suede.

Though I do have 2 free passes to ret, and if I can't be professionally cleaned they will pay to replace it. I should bloody think so too!

yeah, prolly paint. mine only has a smallish patch of stuff on. they had no idea how it happened - it doesn't look like there was a wet wall, or whatever.

I think someone left an open pot of paint in the cloakroom. This seems like a really cretinous thing to do, and was asking for trouble.

I hope you got a free pass into ret for that. They were giving them out to anyone who's coats had been damaged when I went to get mine. i'd speak to them about it if you didn't.
